Hey guys! As promised, I wanted to post about my everyday makeup routine. One thing that always surprises me, is when people comment on how good my skin looks. I have had issues with my skin my entire life. As a teenager, I had acne. Then, in my 20’s, I had hyperpigmentation, which was the result of going off my birth control. Now, I have melasma, which usually gets worse in the summer from the sun, but it’s a pain to cover with makeup at times. I know they have treatment for this, but mine is mild, and it doesn’t bother me enough to seek treatment. Also, as a 36 year old mother of two, I deal with the challenges of dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles.
One thing that completely turned my skin around, was Lancome Advanced Genifique. Now, it is pricey, but it’s worth it and one bottle will last you a long time! I the big bottle and I have been using it for at least 9 months. Anyway, I could talk forever about this face serum, but I’ll get to the makeup routine. I talk more about this product on my skincare page. As always, if you have any questions about anything, feel free to reach out to me!
Step 1: Apply Eye Balm
First, I apply the Tula Rose Glow Eye Balm. I used to use, and still do sometimes, use the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector instead of the Tula Eye Balm. I only stopped using it because I wasn’t sure if it was good for my eyelash extensions. If I didn’t have eyelash extensions, I would probably use the Becca Under Eye over the Tula. Both products brighten up your under eye and give a nice glow to help the appearance of dark circles. I only use in the corners under my eye and do not go all under my eye. I always just feel like less is more and do not want to have product and makeup seep in the creases.

Step 2: Apply Foundation
I use Gorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, shade 7, and apply using a makeup brush. I do not usually use a lot. This foundation is very buildable and gives a natural, medium coverage, which I love! Picture below is with foundation only.

Step 3: Use Concealer For Imperfections
I use Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer to cover any blemishes, scars, or uneven skin. I usually use shade 6, but sometimes I do use shade 7. I have been using this concealer for 10 years and it works so great! It’s waterproof, so great for the summer or if you workout and sweat a lot. I have applied before swimming and it stays on, but I also don’t have issues removing it with cleanser at the end of the day. It is a thicker concealer, so if I do use under my eyes, I don’t use a lot, and just in the same area I apply the eye balm. This is a great concealer to cover acne scars, melasma, hyperpigmenation, blemishes, or any other problem areas. The photo below is with eye balm, foundation, and concealer on problem areas only.

Step 4: Under Eye Concealer and Bronzer
Next, I apply Tarte Creaseless Concealer , in shade 20B light beige, using a damp beauty blender. If I have bad dark circles, I will apply a little of the Make Up Forever Full Coverage concealer for more coverage, as I mentioned before. I do also like the Tarte Ultra Creamy Shape Tape Concealer (shade 20B) and sometimes I mix the Creaseless and Ultra Creamy, but in this photo, I used the Creaseless Concealer and a dab of the Make Up For Ever only. For bronzer, I use the e.l.f kabuki brush, and mixed the Nars Laguna Bronzer and HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Bronzer in shade Luminous Bronze Light . The Laguna Bronzer is a matte and the HOURGLASS gives a light glow. Mixed together, they’re magic! 🙂

Step 5: Apply Blush And Highlighter
Next, I mix the Nars Orgasm Blush, Nars Dolce Vita, with the HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Blush in Ethereal Glow. Then, I dab the Milani Strobelight Afterglow Highlighter to the tip and bridge of my nose and in the corner of my eye.

Step 6: Eye Shadow
Then, I apply the shimmer eyeshadow in the Charlotte Tilbury Ladies Darling Matte Eyeshadow Palette and complete by applying MAC Cosmetics Mulch shadow in the corners of my eye. Then, blend! I use the eyeshadow brushes from Amazon and they work great for blending! I forgot to mention that beore eye shadow, I will either use the Make Up For Ever Concealor or Paint Pot on my top lid as a primer to prevent eye shadow to crease. For my dry lips, I used Lancome Juicy Tube in shade Tickled Pink and topped it off with NYX lip filler in shade Miami Nights.
